Flowdrill

Flowdrill

A Flowdrill is a solid carbide drilling tool that is capable of locally displacing material in order to form increased material thickness, which, in turn, allows for a stronger fastening connection by tapping and brazing.

Flowdrill is available in many sizes, suitable for diameters from 1.8mm to 40mm and for material thickness from 0.5mm to 10mm. The area of application is steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and some brass alloys.

The Flowdrill difference

  • Increased material thickness
  • Suitable for high loaded threads
  • High process reliability
  • Fast production cycle time
  • Long tool lifetime
  • No waste, no single fasteners, recyclable

Typical applications

  • Threaded connection
  • O-ring/sealing surface
  • Bearing sleeve/hinge
